Thoughts from a Rainy May

Its been a while since my last update. I miss school and all its busyness. I would even welcome a paper or two to do. . . .well maybe not. Although I am enjoying my time at home, I am hoping to get a full time job soon so I can have more of a schedule. I like being busy I think.
The weather has been horrible during the last few days. Some sun and warm weather would be very welcome right now. Although I do like how green everything is getting because of the rain. I think there will be leaves on the trees very soon. I love watching nature come back to life in the spring. I love the colours of fall as well. I think spring and fall would have to be my favorite seasons. They are short, but very beautiful.

A few days ago a group of us dressed up and went out to eat and then went to a movie. Lots of fun. Plus the food was amazingly good.

Super warm day out yesterday. Therefore some friends and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather.

So I had a huge suprise waiting for me after class today. Damon has also been walking around with a sign that says, "I Like Sarah" holding a rose all day. He is very sweet. Here's some pictures.

Introducing. . .

Its been a few weeks since I updated. Things are going great here at school. I love my classes this semester. Even my fourth year vocal pedgogy class, although it still seems crazy that I'm taking it. It isn't a whole lot of work, but it is still very demanding.

I'm also taking dance classes which I am very much enjoying of course. Its a lot of fun and I believe we are doing a recital at the end of the semester, which should be good.

I also have some exciting news. I think its exciting anyway, cause I am very excited about it. I happen to have a boyfriend now! His name is Damon and he's a great guy. We've been dating since friday. I've known him since the fall and he's become a great friend.

Lazy Sunday

I love days where there isn't much to do. Today was one of those days. I did a little bit of everything and got nothing done. I read, played the piano, listened to muisc, had an excellent conversation and did very little homework. All in all it was a most wonderful day.

I'm back at School

I had a really nice Christmas break for a couple of weeks. I was able to see some friends and spend a lot of time with my family. I really enjoyed it. I am very glad to be back at a school though. I've had one class already and am looking forward to my other ones.

Christmas Time is Finally Here!

Exams are almost done and I'm getting ready to go home for the Christmas break. I am very excited. Here are some pictures from the Christmas Party and my creation for cards.

The musical went very well. I can't wait to show people the dvd and pictures. I a little sad now that its over as rehearsals got really busy for a while and all I did was musical stuff and school work. Its nice to have a life again.

I GOT MY SHOE BOX

Today I had a very nice suprise in the mail. I got my shoe box filled with candy, notes and such from my home church. Thank you to everyone who contributed. I'm so thankful for it already. The candy will be put to good use while I am studying for exams.

A Night at the Opera

Went to a dessert theatre last night with some friends. It was a very enjoyable evening. The play was "Cheaper By the Dozen" and it was done by the highschool. It was very good, as was the dessert.

I baked bread!

Yesterday I made two loaves of white bread from scratch. It turned out really good. I was very excited.

Halloween

Carved some pumpkins with some friends a couple nights ago. It was a good time and I was pleased with my happy face pumpkin except that he didn't want to stay lit when he was put out on Halloween night. The weather has been so cold and its been snowing a bit, so since my pumpkin had a big mouth, the candle kept being blown out.

Yum! Cookies.

I spent last night baking cookies. I made Double Chocolate Chip Cookies and I don't mind saying that they turned out perfectly. I was very happy about them and they recieved compliments from those who tried them. Bread is going to be my next venture. It will be fun to try anyway. If anyone one has some recipes you think I'd like to try, please don't hesitate to send them to me.
And now its time for me to get back to my reading.

What a glorious day!

Today was amazing. I don't particualry know why, except it has just felt like a really good day. The best part was this evening at dance rehearsal. The director of the musical came in with some of the main cast guys to practice some jumps. I got paired up with a real tall guy which made things a bit more difficult, but once we got a hang of the lifts. . .WOW! I got so high! It was really cool. This one lift I was supposed to press down on his shoulders to help him hold me, but he was able to lift me so high that I couldn't reach them let alone press down on them. We probably weren't doing the lift properly, but it was still pretty cool. I laughed a lot.

This week is reading week. I am so excited to take a break from the business. I plan to either be in the library a lot getting a big chunk of my paper done for Pentateuch. My prof says I chose the hardest topic, which scares me, but he seems to be willing to give lots of adive and help, so thats good. He also said that those who did choose my topic and stuck with it, always handed in the best papers.

I also plan to spend a lot of time in the practice rooms here this week. I love practicing sometimes. It can be relaxing. I enjoy it a lot. Music is truly the best thing in the world.

So as ya'll can tell. I am enjoying myself. I definetly made the right choice in coming here. God has been so good.

Oh, and the picture is of what my dance shoes look like. They are character shoes. . .I've never danced in them before and its kinda scary getting used to them.

Here are my pictures from thanksgiving weekend. Things are going well here. I spent a lot of my day in the library trying to get some work done and I just got back from 2 hours and 45 minutes in the practice room (I am very impressed with my discipline). Oh and I also had my first nosebleed ever. It was so weird, my nose suddenly starting hurting and. . .whoosh!. . . blood comes gushing out. Doesn't that sound like a fun time? I can tell you it was a blast.

Thanksgiving

I hope you guys who celebrate it had a good Canadian Thanksgiving. I know I did. I went to my roommates home and chowed down on Turkey with her family. It was a really good weekend. I enjoyed it.
